What is radKIDS?

The radKIDS program is the leading educator in realistic and empowering personal safety for children and parents. The radKIDS mission is to provide all children with the tools they need to recognize, avoid, and when necessary escape the many forms of violence in their world including Abduction, Bullying as well as Sexual Abuse and Assault.

In teaching children to establish their own "Foundational Paradigms Of Safety", radKIDS instructors empower all students to understand and believe three basic but critically fundamental principles in the prevention of violence toward children:

  1. No one has the right to hurt me!
  2. I don't have the right to hurt anyone else
unless I need to save myself from danger!
  3. It's not my fault if someone tricks me or hurts me!

radKIDS is a comprehensive, foundational safety education program for children aged 5-7 and 8-10. radKIDS focuses on seven core areas:
  • Home Safety
  • School Safety
  • Out-and-About Safety
  • Vehicle Safety
  • Stranger Tricks (including Physical Defense against Abduction)
  • Personal Safety (including Good, Bad, and Uncomfortable Touch).
  • Self-Realization of Personal Power

radKIDS is designed to help children recognize potential hazards, and provide them with realistic options for effective response. By empowering them to make positive choices, we hope to enable them to avoid or escape the cycle of violence.

Several children who have completed the radKIDS Program have reported back to us to say they have successfully avoided both harm and/or attempted abductions, in part due to the things they learned while taking the course. Since its launch in May of 1998, radKIDS has built a network of hundreds of Instructors across 31 states and Canada.
